A dedicated law enforcement officer residing in Wailuku, Hawaii, Angela Kahoohanohano has recently become apart of the criminal investigations division of the Maui Police Department. Prior to that, Angela Kahoohanohano was a receiving desk sergeant at the station (October 2021 to March 2023) and before that a police sergeant in the Hana district (October 2020 to October 2021).

As a receiving desk sergeant, Angela Kahoohanohano was the initial point of contact for all people coming to the station, including complainants and visitors. She received and interviewed them, and then took the appropriate action. She also interviewed incoming prisoners, conducted warrant checks, and filed temporary restraining orders.

As a police sergeant, Angela Kahoohanohano supervised and coordinated police operations including patrols, investigations, and special assignments. She also trained assigned personnel and performed administrative work.

Angela Kahoohanohano earned an Associate of Science in administration of justice from Maui Community College in 2008. In the course of her law enforcement career, she has received several awards. These include Officer of the Month District I-Wailuku Patrol and Officer of the Quarter District-I Wailuku Patrol. She passed her police sergeant exam in July 2019, one month after receiving acknowledgment from the County of Maui for 10 years of faithful service.
